The Value of Creation

Here is a VISCERAL lesson I learned over the past month

You MUST Create BEFORE You Automate!

AND

You must Create WELL, before you Automate

For Example

In the case of social media Content creation, you must create what the platform desires, and what the audience who readily consumes an interact with content on that platform desires BEFORE you Automate.

Here’s the thing,

There are so many classes and courses on how to utilize AI to create content easily. And while these content creation, strategies have some value, the fact that you can easily create this content, and then automate it means absolutely nothing if the content you are automating is not the type of content that the platform Has deemed as relevant and engagement worthy.

For example,

I can create 100 captions that are specific to my business and that speak to my audience using ChatGPT less than five minutes. Then I can take those captions and plant them on Word squares or images in Canva in less than 10 minutes. From there I can have all 100 of those pieces uploaded to my content scheduler And use a different AI tool to write the captions within that platform and have all of that content scheduled in a few hours.

Here is the problem,

The ones who are consuming this content are actual PEOPLE. They are actual BEINGS. Actual HUMAN BEINGS. And on each platform, the HUMAN BEINGS, who utilize that platform have decided what is engagement worthy.

And even though I have a strategy that allows us to create 30 days of shareable content, with titles, subtitles, captions, and images, and to create enough content that we can post six times per day on multiple platforms

If the content we are automating is not the content that the people on that platform want to engage with, then the fact that we can quickly create the content and easily automate, the content is very little value, if any at all.

For Solopreneurs this can be a real challenge, ESPECIALLY for those of you who are not really super creative

Because what is sold to Solopreneurs is that if you can simply just use ChatGPT to come up with a bunch of captions and slap them on some squares and automated with a really cool tool then you can save yourself so much time.

And the time saving piece of this may be true, if you aren’t creating the type of content that people on the platform has deed as engagement worthy then you are not really saving yourself any time at all

Because the content that you are creating is not going to get the engagement that is required for you to achieve your sales goals.

So then you’re going to end up spending that additional trying to figure out what you are doing wrong and what you need to do right in order to get enough eyes on your content so that you can give your business enough chances to make sales.

That is going to take up a lot of your brain space, as well as a lot of your energy,

And it may even affect your confidence a bit.

I say all that to say this:

Automation is great. Automation is amazing. And under the right circumstances, with the right tools, and the right content, automation can save you a lot of time, and it can increase your capacity to make more money, however

Do not underestimate the value and the importance of having at least one other HUMAN on your team to support you in the creation process if you are not really a super creative person.

And if you need help figuring out who you need and how to onboard them and how to train them so that you actually can’t get your time back,

My GROUP coaching program is still open. I already have a pre-recorded resource in the portal to support you with this. Plus you can bring this up in our monthly group, coaching Q&A, and hot seat sessions.
